AISI 410 / UNS S41000 is a standard 13Cr martensitic stainless steel. It is mainly used in the CO₂ environment, but the corrosion resistance of AISI 410 is slightly weak. Especially in the chloride environment, pitting corrosion is prone to occur, but it performs well in mild atmosphere, fresh water and some acidic media.
AISI 410 is widely used in scenarios where both strength and moderate corrosion resistance are required, such as valves in the oil and gas industry, downhole tools, and fasteners.
