AISI 420Mod is an improved martensitic stainless steel. Based on the standard 13Cr/AISI 410, its composition and properties have been optimized, featuring higher corrosion resistance, hardness and mechanical strength. And 420 usually has better hot working characteristics than 410 and is less likely to crack during heat treatment.
