Super Duplex UNS S32760 / EN 1.4501 / F55 is a high-alloy duplex stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and good welding performance. Its typical composition is chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen. Through the synergistic effect of high chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content, it significantly improves the resistance to pitting corrosion (PREN ≥ 40) and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-containing, acidic or high temperature and high pressure environments. In addition, its duplex microstructure gives it higher mechanical strength (yield strength ≥ 550 MPa) and fatigue resistance than conventional austenitic stainless steel, while maintaining good toughness.
The alloy is widely used in harsh industrial environments, including marine engineering (such as seawater desalination systems, submarine pipelines), oil and gas (high sulfur oil well equipment, LNG processing facilities), chemical industry (reactors, heat exchangers, acidic medium storage tanks) and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems.
